The NAMES Project - 20 panels of the AIDS Memorial Quilt, an ever-growing national art project honoring those who have died, will be on display this weekend in the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church, 109 South Wilmington Street . This is the African-American FBC on the corner of Morgan St. and Wilmington St. in Raleigh.
You are invited to attend the following events at FBC this weekend:
Friday, November 30th at 12:00pm - The NAMES Project Opening Ceremony
Saturday, December 1 at 7:00pm - World AIDS Day Interfaith Worship Service
There will also be a display of mixed media projects created by individuals living with HIV.
You can drop by and view the quilt and mixed media projects during these times if you are unable to attend the other services:
Friday, Nov. 30th - 12:00pm - 8:00pm
Saturday, Dec. 1st - 9:00am - 7:00pm
Sunday, Dec. 2nd - 1:00pm - 3:00pm
This Sunday at HomeStar, the worship time will focus on the theme of HOPE as we begin our journey through the season of Advent.
